XCath Chief Executive Officer Eduardo Fonseca was formerly an Investment Director in the Crescent Group Investments Team and the Chief Corporate Development Officer of Gulftainer USA.

In addition to leading the strategic direction of XCath, he is a member of the Board of Directors for Endoquest Robotics Inc., and HomeWork Mx. Prior to joining Crescent Group, Fonseca was the first Panamanian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates and the first Ambassador to Saudi Arabia. 

He holds an MBA from INSEAD, a BS in Commerce from Santa Clara University, and is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD.)

Marty Slater has 35+ years of medical device experience developing innovative products across the neurointerventional, interventional cardiology, and peripheral vascular markets. He has a passion for bringing emerging technology from early in-human use through successful launch and was a member of the team that launched Boston Scientific’s first Transcatheter Aortic Heart Valve. Prior to joining XCath, he was the Sr. Director of Quality for Advanced R&D at Edwards Lifesciences.

Richard Bedard is the Director of Strategy and Programming for XCath’s deflectable guidewire and robotics programs. He has over 25 years of combined experience in program management, robotic assist medical device R&D and NPI, GI disposables, and complex electro-mechanical system design. Richard's career has been defined by a passion for improving healthcare accessibility and advancing life-saving interventions. He has held key leadership positions at companies such as Boston Scientific, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and Corindus Vascular Robotics, where he served as Director of Product Engineering. Richard holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston.

Dr. James Tudor spearheads the integration of AI into XCath's robotics systems. Driven by a passion for the convergence of technology and medicine, he enthusiastically balances his roles as a practicing radiologist, Assistant Professor of Radiology at Baylor College of Medicine and AI researcher. Prior to joining XCath, Dr. Tudor led AI integration for a robotic fitness start-up. He holds an MD from the University of Toledo College of Medicine and completed his radiology residency at Henry Ford Hospital.

Dr. Viljar Palmer is the lead of XCath’s proprietary deflectable guidewire technology R&D team based in Houston, Texas. He has 20 years of experience in research and development of Smart Materials and Soft Robotics applying novel functional nanomaterials. Dr. Palmer led the development of XCath’s guidewire steering technology as an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston (UTHealth), which served as the launch point for the company. He has a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering with over 60 technical publications, including peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and several granted patents.

Dr. Young Oh is the VP of Robotics at XCath’s campus in Pangyo, South Korea. He was previously the Senior Engineer at Heller Industries and played a major role in their South Korean R&D team. He was also a Founding Partner and Principal Engineer of Custom Spine, a medical start-up developing innovative spinal solutions to enhance patients’ quality of life.  Dr. Oh holds an MS and PhD in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Florida. He holds 21 patents internationally.

Richard Park is the VP for the South Korea campus, XCath’s Robotics R&D hub. He has held senior leadership roles across multiple industries, including pharmaceuticals, energy, and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG). Park holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BS in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
